Affiliated with Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, the WRCS Pathology residency at Forum Health's Northside Medical Center offers a superior program in a community hospital setting that affords you many advantages often associated with a larger university teaching hospital. Within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, you will discover a dynamic computerized laboratory with advanced technology featuring a modern laboratory information system, electron microscopy, image analysis, flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular pathology. Our comprehensive curriculum, under the direction of eight experienced board-certified pathologists, allows you to gain extensive experience in all aspects of clinical and anatomic pathology. In addition to research, subspecialty training instructed by board certified staff and visiting faculty in chemical pathology, dermatopathology, hematopathology, forensic pathology, cytopathology, neuropathology and computer science, provides an excellent springboard for fellowship training and/or pathology practice. The WRCS program offers you many other benefits. Our excellent staff-resident ratio (8 pathologists/8 residents), allows you to gain more hands-on experience and personal instruction than you might in larger programs and provides a favorable environment that encourages learning, teamwork and communications. For more information, please call us at (330) 884-5812 locally, or at (800) 865-0548 if outside the area.
