The WRCS Categorical Internal Medicine residency is based at Forum Health’s Northside Medical Center. Our residency program offers the essentials of a fully accredited program and more. Guided by performance standards established by the A.C.G.M.E. (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education), our comprehensive curriculum progressively builds competence through technical and practice skills, attitudes, values and lifelong learning habits that prepare residents for either fellowship acquisition or private practice. Our community-based hospital offers quality academics, advanced technology, expert faculty, and research opportunities. A diverse patient population provides our residents with more than ample first contact to a wide array of medical conditions, extending from the commonplace to the complex and rare. Time spent at physicians’ offices offers continuity training in real life ambulatory settings and allows residents to develop their own patient populations. The accessibility and dedication of our faculty sets our program apart from others. With more than 70 faculty members, our residents receive extensive personal instruction. Didactics and sound clinical experience complete the educational focus in ambulatory medicine, hospital-based medicine and the medical subspecialties. For more information, please call us at (330) 884-5812 locally, or at (800) 865-0548 if outside the area. The Internal Medicine Residency Program at WRCS is an Electronic Residency Applicaion System (ERAS) participant.
