The Spinal Cord Center of Excellence provides an innovative approach to patient care, treatment,, and rehabilitation.  Our patients receive the best standard of care through our multi-disciplinary team approach, and the facility's uniquely adapted equipment and controlled physical environment allow for focus on each patients functional challenges.

About the Care

Each patient's specific needs are addressed to help him or her achieve optimal function and performance.  Our specialized healthcare professionals offer medical management and daily therapy; provide lifetime support through education, recreation and peer mentoring; and help with preparation for a successful transition home.  Through our client focused philosophy, patients and their family members receive personal one-on-one attention and commitment supported by our healing environment.

Support Group

The Mahoning Valley Spinal Cord Injury Support Group meets monthly in the Occupational Therapy Department.  The meetings are held on the second Monday of each month from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.  The group provides a safe environment to discuss issues, share resources and plan outings.  Members of the group participate in our peer mentoring program.
