CHAMPS (Challenge And Mutual Problem Solving) is a 21-element high & low ropes and initiatives course located within six wooded acres of Liberty Township’s Churchhill Park.  CHAMPS is an outdoor experiential learning program designed to develop and build self-esteem, self-confidence, cooperation, trust, communication, problem-solving and teamwork.

What to expect from CHAMPS

The CHAMPS adventure is facilitated by highly trained behavioral health professionals.  The facilitators will lead the group through a sequence of carefully orchestrated activities.  The course’s low elements enhance teamwork.  Groups learn to share resources, combine strengths and respect each other’s differences.  Our high initiatives provide a more personal challenge for participants. After each element, facilitators and group members discuss the encounter and talk about how the same skills can be applied in other environments.  CHAMPS is “challenge by choice.”  Individuals choose their level of participation in each activity. 

Customized programs that meet your specific needs

We know that the training and development goals of any one group will differ from another.  That’s why we customize your CHAMPS workshop and design a program that will best target your needs.  We also have Portable CHAMPS activities that can be brought to the group site.  The Portable CHAMPS program offers a variety of low initiatives that can be transported to your site or a location of your choice.  In other words, you don’t have to bring your group to us, we will come to you.  The opportunity to work as a team will allow participants to accomplish each activity, which in turn teaches cooperation and communication skills.

CHAMPS is for everyone

From ages 9 to 99, everyone will benefit from the CHAMPS experience.  Agencies, schools, churches, families, youth groups, temples, social groups or any group wishing to build teamwork should consider an outing.
