Each year thousands of women turn to the Center For Breast Health at Beeghly Medical Park for high-quality breast health services that are private, convenient and affordable. The Center For Breast Health, a service of Forum Health’s Cancer CareCenter, was designed to provide women in the community with an integrated way to care for breast disease and breast cancer.

Our staff is attuned to the special concerns of women. Each year 10,000 to 12,000 procedures are performed at the center.  The Center For Breast Health is accredited by the FDA and the American College of Radiology, assuring that patients receive a high standard of care and quality.

Services include:

  • Screening and diagnostic mammograms
  • Breast ultrasound
  • Stereotactic biopsy
  • Breast ultrasound for cyst aspiration
  • Needle localization
  • Ductograms
  • Consultations, second opinions and additional medical, surgical and diagnostic services are also available when needed.

Related Services

The Center also helps women without resources to obtain mammography and other breast health services.  An affiliation with the American Cancer Society through the Race For The Cure helps provide mammography services and biopsies for patients without available funds.

Mobile mammography reaches women in the community who often are without access to such services.  By working with area businesses to provide on-site services, mobile mammography offers convenience to working women.

DEXA bone density testing for osteoporosis is also available at The Center For Breast Health. Osteoporosis, a disease that causes bones to become thin and break easily, is a special concern since women are at higher risk and incidence for the disease. The test is safe, painless and easy. You will need a physician’s referral to schedule the test, which can help diagnose bone loss early and lead to successful treatment.

The Staff

The staff, also women, is sensitive to and focus on the problems women have concerning breast cancer and disease.   The Center For Breast Health’s team of professionals includes:

  • Two board-certified radiologists who specialize in breast care.  Their focus is on mammography and the detection and diagnosis of breast disease and cancer.
  • Registered mammographers who are specialized radiology technician that must meet continuing education requirements and perform a procedure volume set by the Mammography Quality Standards Act.
  • A registered nurse, who serves as a liaison between patient and physician.  She also offers support and provides education about different diseases and the various treatment and surgical options available.

Also, each month a team of physicians, nurses, radiation therapists and medical oncologists meet to discuss cases and set-up a continuum of care.
