12 Body Site Risk Analysis

SIGNALS concentrates on 12 major cancer sites which include the mouth and throat, skin, kidneys and urinary tract, thyroid gland, stomach and intestines, colon and rectum as well as male and female reproductive systems.

After scheduling an appointment, a risk analysis questionnaire will be sent to your home to complete. During your visit, your personal risk will be assessed and individual counseling, self-exam instruction, education and recommendations will be reviewed.

You, your doctor and SIGNALS staff will work together to ensure that you receive the maximum benefits of the program. Your physician will receive a copy of your risk analysis report to provide follow-up care.

Early detection through self-exam, screening, education and physician management can help in preventing, controlling and can possibly lead to a cure for most types of cancer.

Site Specific Screenings

Forum Health's CancerCare Centers hold site-specific screenings at various times throughout the year. A "screening" is an exam, test or technique used to detect or "screen" for cancer in individuals without symptoms. They are done to detect cancer as early as possible when it is most treatable. Screenings can indicate an abnormal condition that may be cancerous.

Education, Information & Counseling

SIGNALS offers by phone or appointment the availability of a cancer prevention and detection specialist to provide education, information and counseling on the latest information as it relates to cancer. Awareness and knowledge about prevention and early detection are your best defense for cancer control!

Speaker Presentations and Educational Forums

SIGNALS has expert speakers, available to address community, businesses, civic and religious agencies as well as students and school-aged groups. These programs provide topics that are beneficial throughout your life and information that covers all dimensions of prevention and early detection of cancer.

Our Cancer CareCenter also offers programs, events and seminars to provide the opportunity for community members to become cancer health conscious.
